Advocacy
The Salvadoran National American Association (NSAA) provides advocacy through its congressional affair efforts on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. NSAA strives to support the existing nation-wide network of Salvadoran American serving organizations by facilitating educational discussions with elected officials in the US House of Representatives and the US Senate that focus on policies (such as: health, immigration, and small business) that impact the Salvadoran American community.
By strengthening the nation-wide network of Salvadoran American-serving organizations, NSAA works to ensure that the concerns and needs of this vibrant community are heard and addressed at the highest levels of government. NSAA also provides technical assistance to local organizations to plan and execute advocacy days during congressional recess periods when their elected officials are in town.
Policy statements will be posted in the near future.
