Salvadoran American National Association
The National Salvadoran American Association (NSAA) is a non-partisan nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the Salvadoran American community through advocacy, civic engagement, and capacity-building support. Through collaboration with leaders across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, NSAA strives to enhance the political, economic, and cultural contributions of Salvadoran Americans while strengthening the relationship between the United States and El Salvador.
Advocacy
The Salvadoran National American Association (NSAA) provides advocacy through its congressional affair efforts on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. NSAA strives to support the existing nation-wide network of Salvadoran American serving organizations by facilitating educational discussions with elected officials in the US House of Representatives and the US Senate that focus on policies (such as: health, immigration, and small business) that impact the Salvadoran American community.
By strengthening the nation-wide network of Salvadoran American-serving organizations, NSAA works to ensure that the concerns and needs of this vibrant community are heard and addressed at the highest levels of government. NSAA also provides technical assistance to local organizations to plan and execute advocacy days during congressional recess periods when their elected officials are in town.
Policy statements will be posted in the near future.

Community Support
The Salvadoran National American Association (NSAA) provides free-of-charge tools and resources to the nation-wide network of Salvadoran American serving nonprofit organizations and chambers of commerce to help support their missions and improve their self-advocacy. NSAA is currently providing the following resources and will be providing seasonal organizational capacity building and sustainability technical assistance webinars in the near future.
Charity
The Salvadoran National American Association (NSAA) has partnered with the Asociación Nacional Indígena Salvadoreña (ANIS), which works to preserve the culture, customs and language of El Salvador's indigenous groups, including the Lenca, Maya and Nahua. ANIS also provides social support to many in the indigenous community who experience poverty and have limited access to resources such as food and medical care. NSAA is currently accepting donations for gift baskets for the poor families that ANIS, in collaboration with NSAA serves.
